Belles Toll for Women's Tennis

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Trine University women's tennis team dropped their Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) dual against St. Mary's College today by the score of 6-1.

The Belles took the doubles point for the match, winning two out of three contests. The lone victory came from the No. 3 pair of Emily Hatseras and Lizzie Welker who came away with a 6-1 result.

The lone team point of the day came in the No. 1 singles match where Elina Locane held off a comeback attempt to secure a 6-3, 3-6, 10-6 victory.

The Thunder fall to 10-2 overall and 1-1 in MIAA play following the loss. They are next scheduled to take the courts when they host The University of Olivet on Wednesday, April 2. That match is set to start at 4 p.m.
