ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University women's tennis team made short work of visiting Manchester University, defeating them in all six contested matches for a 7-0 victory.

Both matches that were played in the doubles section of the day were 6-0 victories in favor of Thunder. Elina Locane and Emma Beehler won in the No. 1 match while Alexis Maloney and Emilee Bassett took the No. 2 match.

Bassett finished the day with a completely clean scorecard, winning the No. 3 singles match in straight points. Emily Hatseras also was perfect in the No. 4 singles match. Locane needed just one extra point winning 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 1 match and Beehler finished off the day with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2.

Trine improves to 8-1 following the victory. They will continue their season when they travel to face the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Sunday, March 16. That dual is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
