ALBION, MICH. – The Trine University volleyball team was defeated 3-1 by conference foe Albion College this evening (25-20, 25-22, 25-8, 25-21).

Freshman Sarah Toles (Kendallville/East Noble) led the team offensively with nine kills. Junior Shannon Scott (Vicksburg, Mich./Vicksburg) and freshman Madison Munger (Indianapolis/Franklin Central) were second on the team with seven kills apiece. In addition to her kills Scott led the team in attack percentage (.385) and added a solo block. With tonight's match in the books, Munger now leads the team with 56 kills on the season.

Junior Raven Hood (Monroe, Mich./Lutheran Northwest) led the team in assists with 13 and added a service ace and seven digs to the team's effort. Freshman Lindsey DeCamp (New Haven/New Haven) led the team with 18 digs, adding to her team high total which now stands at 93 for the season thus far.

The Thunder will look to bounce back when they travel to Olivet, Mich. on Wednesday, Sept. 13, to take on Olivet College. The match is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
