HOLLAND, Mich.—The Trine volleyball team dropped a 3-0 match at Hope on Saturday night.

The Flying Dutch won in straight sets 25-14 in each set.

Shannon Scott (Vicksburg, Mich./Vicksburg) and Janaya Wilder (Decatur, Ind./Bellmont) led the Thunder offense with six kills each. Samantha Ihrie (Kendallville, Ind./East Noble) helped her team with 11 assists. Wilder, Raven Hood (Monroe, Mich./Airport) and Danielle Stanichuk (Troy, Mich./Athens) each had five digs for the Thunder.

Courtney Van Houzen led Hope with 11 kills, while Haley Muller added nine. Sophia Hackett totaled 35 assists for the Flying Dutch. Alexis Thompson led the defense with 13 digs.

The Thunder will be back in action on Saturday morning for an 11 a.m. match against Olivet in Hershey Hall.
