Seth Ware was named Assistant Track & Field coach in the fall of 2015. He has completed USATF Level 2 certifications for Sprints, Hurdles, Relays as well as the Jumps. He also has a USTFCCCA Combined Events Specialist Certification and a USTFCCCA Strength & Conditioning certification. During the Summer of 2023 he attended the prestigious USATF Emerging Elite Coaches Camp for the Sprints & Hurdles. Additionally, Ware is a USATF Official and has completed coursework in Sports Psychology & Injury Management from the USTFCCCA Track & Field Coaches Academy.
Throughout Ware’s 10 years on staff, he has coached a variety of events including the Sprints, Hurdles, Jumps, Javelin & Combined Events. Over the last 7 years his primary responsibilities have been the Sprint & Hurdle events; Ware’s athletes have garnered 45 MIAA Individual Championships, 36 USTFCCCA All-Region honors, 17 NCAA Individual Qualifiers, 12 NCAA All-Americans including two National Runner-Ups (M LJ, M 110H) and two National Champions (M 400H, M 60H). Ware has been recognized as the USTFCCCA Men’s Regional Assistant Coach of the Year for the Great Lakes region 3x (Outdoors: 2021, 2022 & Indoors: 2022). During Ware’s first 3 years on staff, he was an assistant for the Sprint/Hurdle & Jumps group which produced 32 MIAA Champions, 17 USTFCCCA All Region honors, 4 NCAA Qualifiers, and 2 NCAA All-Americans.
The 2024-2025 indoor season saw the Thunder Men win their 6th MIAA Championship. Zion Jackson highlighted the performances for the Sprints & Hurdles winning the 60H. Ethan Spahr garnered USTFCCCA All-region honors in the Heptathlon setting a new school record along the way. His performance also made him the first Trine athlete to Qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships in the Heptathlon. During the outdoor season the Thunder Men won their 5th MIAA Outdoor Title. Ware’s athletes contributed by winning 4 events under his direction; Zion Jackson won the 110H, Ethan Spahr won the Javelin & Decathlon, the team of Max Harris, Jay Roberts, Zion Jackson, Braden Estep won the 4x100m Relay. Sophia Peter also won the 100H on the women’s side. USTFCCCA recognized 5 athletes as All Region for the 2025 outdoor season Zion Jackson (110H, 100m, 200m, 4x100m), Ethan Spahr (Decathlon), Max Harris (4x100), Jay Roberts (4x100), Braden Estep (4x100). Zion Jackson(110H) and Ethan Spahr (Decathlon) would also go on to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Zion Jackson brought home All-American honors in the 110H placing 3rd.
During the 2023-2024 indoor season the Thunder Men won their 5th consecutive MIAA Championship along the way Ware’s athletes set new school records in 5 events; Jake Gladieux in the 60H and 200m; Ethan Spahr in the Heptathlon; Mackenzie Miller in the 60m and 200m. Four athletes were named USTFCCCA All-Region Gladieux (60H, 200), Greysen Spohn(60H), Spahr (Heptathlon). Jake Gladieux again returned to the NCAA Indoor Championships this time in multiple events. During the preliminary of the 60H Gladieux ran the 6th fastest time in DIII history (7.85). The next day he captured his second career national championship in the same event, a few hours later he finished 6th in the 200m giving him 8 career All-American Awards. During the outdoor season the Men won their 4th straight Outdoor Championship. Gladieux captured MIAA Championships in the 110H & 400H. The sprints and hurdles again set school records in the women’s 4x100m relay (Small, Forker, Machino, Miller) and 110H (Gladieux). Jake Gladieux returned to the NCAA Outdoor championships in the 110H and 400H. After securing NCAA All-American honors in the 110H he was forced to withdraw from the 400H final because of an injury. USTFCCCA recognized him as a first team All-American in both events. His final career totals were 9 NCAA All-American awards and 10 USTFCCCA All-American awards both are program records.

Originally from Utica, Ohio, Ware attended Utica High School where he competed in cross country, track & field, and wrestling. He attended Trine University, graduating with a B.S. in Computer Engineering in 2013.
Ware currently resides in Angola.
