Marty Beasley joins the Thunder men's basketball staff in 2025-26 having spent last thirty two years as a basketball coach at both the middle school and high school levels in the northeast Indiana area. In twenty-six years as a head coach, Beasley compiled a record of 349-256, 247 of those victories coming at Carroll High School in Fort Wayne where he is the winningest coach in school history.

Beasley comes to Trine after spending the last four seasons at DeKalb High School.  Beasley's teams were 33-59 in his tenure.

Before DeKalb, Beasley spent sixteen years as the Head Coach at Carroll High School. From 2005-2021, Beasley guided the Chargers to one regional championship, five sectional championships, two Summit Athletic Conference (SAC) Conference Titles, 1 SAC Holiday Tourney Championship, three Northeast Hoosier Conference (NHC) Titles, two District 1 Coach of the Year honors, and a record of 247-132. With 247 wins at Carroll High School, Coach Beasley is the winningest coach at CHS. 

Prior to Carroll, Beasley had his first head coaching experience at Garrett High School. He conducted the Railroaders from 1999-2005; In just his third year at Garrett, Coach Beasley led the Railroaders to their first winning season since 1987 with a record of 17-6. In six years at Garrett, the Railroaders won one sectional title, one regional title, two Northeast Corner Conference (NECC) Championships and two NECC Tournament Championships.
 
Beasley was a four year letterman at Taylor University. In those four years, the Trojans compiled a 117-23 record and won three NAIA District 23 Titles. Beasley was part of Taylor's 1991 team the advanced to the NAIA Final Four. Beasley is a native of Columbia City, Indiana. He and his wife, DeAnn, reside in Angola.
