KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Trine University women's tennis team bowed out of the 2026 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Tournament presented by Collegiate Credit Union with a 4-0 loss to their hosts from Kalamazoo College.
The Hornets took the doubles portion of the match with a pair of victories, coming in the No. 2 and No. 3 matches. Elina Locane and Alexis Maloney were leading in the top match 3-2, but it was left unfinished due to MIAA rules for postseason play.
Kalamazoo finished off the contest by winning the second, fifth and sixth singles matches. Emilee Bassett had won the first set of the No. 3 match by the score of 6-1, but trailed in the second when the contest was called.
The Thunder finish the season 16-6 overall.
