ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University women's wrestling team split contested matches with visiting Albion College but ultimately fell due to forfeits by the score of 24-9.

Four matches in the dual were contested before the Britons received three forfeits to secure the victory. The first two contests went to the visitors, the first in a tech fall and the second a regular fall for a 9-0 lead.

Erin Scully earned the first team points of the day for the Thunder. Scully scored two points as time expired in the first period to take the 10-0 lead and the tech fall victory.

Madison Small followed up with a pin. She grabbed a takedown in the second minute of the match and rolled to her back to hold the opponent to the mat for enough time to earn the pin. The five points tied the match at nine before the forfeits.

Trine finishes the regular season 0-7 in dual contests. Members of the team will next take the mat when they travel to the NCWWC Regional hosted by Tiffin University. That event begins on Friday, February 20.
