TIFFIN, Ohio – The Trine University women's wrestling team completed a quartet of duals at today's Berg Holiday Duals hosted by Heidelberg University. The team finished the day with an 0-4 record.

The Thunder opened the competition with their hardest fought match. Facing off with Point Park University, Jazlynn Golder opened the contest with a victory by fall at 110 with Laylah Hicks following up with a tech fall at 117. Jenna Thompson won at 131 by forfeit before Madison Small had a victory by fall at 138, giving the team a 19-5 lead in the dual. Point Park took the rest of the matches to secure the dual 24-19.

Trine lost the rest of their duals in more lopsided fashion. The only other individual victory came for Thompson against John Carroll University. She had another victory by fall in that dual. The Thunder lost to Lindsey Wilson University 49-0, John Carroll 45-5 and West Liberty University 50-1.

The team will enjoy a long break before they next take the mats. They are scheduled to travel to the Women's Spartan Mat Classic, hosted by Manchester University on Sunday, January 18.
