ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University women's wrestling team lost their first dual of the 2025-26 season to visiting Manchester University by the score of 39-3.

There were five contested matches in the contest, with the Spartans winning four of them, all with bonus points. Madison Small secured the team points for the Thunder with an exciting 10-6 decision at 138. The match was tied late into the second period until Small recorded a four-point throw and then finished with a takedown.

Trine will continue their season this weekend when they travel to the Albion Open. The event is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on Sunday, November 16.
