LOUISVILLE – The #15 Trine University women's cross country team continued their dominance in the 2025 season at this morning's Swags Louisville Cross Country Classic. The Thunder placed second of 47 teams in the 6000-meter race and were led by
Sidney Swick who finished fourth individually.
Trine finished second behind only Division I Kennesaw State. Trine toppled eight Division I opponents including Middle Tennessee State, Saint Francis (Pa.), San Diego, Xavier, and Wright State. Trine resoundly defeated all other Division III competition, scoring 97 points to Trinity's (Texas) 248. The Tigers placed fourth overall and second among Division III teams.
Swick placed fourth in 21:19.8 behind a contingent of MTSU Blue Raiders.
Eleanor Young earned a 12
th place finish in the field of 416, finishing in 22:02.5.
Bailey Puckett and
Chloe Goodrich finished just 3 seconds apart in 20
th and 23
rd, crossing in 22:22.9 and 22:26.2.
Courtney Study completed the Thunder five in 22:53.9 for a 38
th place showing.
Trine competed in two other races on the weekend. The second was also in Louisville in the "Silver" section of the 5k race.
Angelina Tringali and
Allayna Gue crossed nearly side by side in 20:28.1 and 20:28.9 to lead the Thunder to an eighth place showing of 23 teams.
The final race took place at the Calvin Knight Invite, only three runners competed so the Thunder did not earn a team score, but
Alyssa Knittle led the way in the 6k race, finishing in 26:03.
