NAPERVILLE, ILL. -- The Trine women's volleyball team was defeated by North Central College by the score of 3-2.
North Central took the first set by the score of 25-14, but the Thunder responded in the second with a 25-20 win. In the third both teams played really well, but the Cardinals came out on top by the score of 25-22. Trine had their own blowout victory in the fourth when they won 25-13. North Central would clinch the victory in the deciding set by the score of 15-8.
Freshman Madison Munger (Indianapolis/Franklin Central) finished the game with a team high 19 kills, while also achieving a .298 attack percentage. Junior Shannon Scott (Vicksburg, Mich./Vicksburg) came in second with 14 kills and added a solo block and a block assist as well.
The Thunder continue competition in the Tiffany Robinson Tournament tomorrow, Oct. 14. Their first match starts at noon and their second comes at 4:00 p.m.
