ANGOLA, IND. – The Trine University softball team will be offering two hitting clinics in the upcoming months. As of Thursday, Nov. 14 all remaining dates are full.
Dates for the clinics include Sunday, Oct. 27 and Sunday, Nov. 17. Each day the clinic will run from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The clinics offer a unique opportunity for softball players to learn the techniques used by the elite hitters of Trine University's softball team. During the 2019 season, the Thunder finished 11th in NCAA Division III in team slugging percentage. That came after finishing as the statistical champion in that category in 2018 and top-five in 2017.
Each clinic costs $50 individually and will be capped at 40 participants.
The Thunder finished the 2019 season with a historic run through the NCAA Division III Softball Championship that ended with the team finishing in a tie for third in the nation, the highest finish by a Trine University team since joining the NCAA.
