ANGOLA, Ind. -- Friday's baseball doubleheader between Trine and Albion has been moved up to Wednesday, May 3.
The two teams will now square off tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Albion College's Champions Stadium at Frank Joranko Field. The schedule change was made to take advantage of a window of good weather, as well as to avoid a poor late week weather forecast and potential rescheduling conflicts caused by Albion College's graduation and Trine University's finals week. Sunday's doubleheader and Senior Day festivities at Jannen Field will be played as scheduled.
Trine carries a 16-17 overall record and 10-14 MIAA mark into the series. The Thunder are tied for fifth in the conference with Alma. Trine would need to finish ahead of both Alma and Calvin to make the MIAA Tournament. The Thunder would lose any head-to-head or three-way tiebreaker scenario for seeding involving the Scots and Knights.
