ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University women's basketball team will begin the 2025-26 season with national recognition after earning 57 votes in the D3hoops.com preseason poll. The Thunder finished last season ranked 17^th in the final poll after advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
 
Trine has reached the last eight NCAA Tournaments, winning at least one game in each including last season's first round victory over Transylvania.
 
Trine joins MIAA-foes Calvin and Hope in the initial poll. The Knights lead the MIAA at 18^th, while Hope checks in at 23^rd.
