In his second season at Trine, Gould led the Thunder to its first appearance in the MIAA Tournament Championship game. Along the way, Trine earned three wins over ranked opponents in finishing with a 19-8 overall record. The team's overall mark was its best since joining NCAA Division III. In his first season at the helm of the Thunder program, Gould guided the team to one of the best turnarounds in school-history.
